Standing Stone Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a variety that we are pretty careful with each year. Though we hold it in high esteem for all of its attributes as a still red wine- we believe that it should only be made and bottled in the very best vintages and when the wine is truly exceptional. This is one of those wines. This is our first bottling of Pinot Noir from our Standing Stone site. The vineyard was planted in 1994. Fruit for this wine was selected on September 12th, and the wine was tank-fermented before being aged for 9 months in 500L barrels. This wine boasts a vibrant red fruit character with hints of earth and stone, followed by soft tannins and a long finish.
