Saperavi is one of the most distinctive grape varieties we farm on Seneca Lake. Native to the country of Georgia, it is a teinturier varietal, a French term meaning “to dye.” Unlike most grapes, which have clear pulp, teinturier varieties have naturally pigmented flesh, a rare trait found in only a dozen varieties worldwide. This deeply colored pulp allows us to craft a wide range of Saperavi wines, each expressing its own unique character and depth.
Subscription Details
Every Spring and Fall, you’ll receive a carefully curated 6 bottle allotment of wines. Each shipment includes 4 Saperavi-based selections, with the option to customize the remaining 2 bottles from our full portfolio of Wiemer and Standing Stone wines, along with detailed information on production techniques, aging potential, and pairing suggestions.
When you sign up, you’ll receive a welcome email with details on what to expect and the timing of your first seasonal allotment. You’ll pay nothing to sign up and won’t be charged until the time of your shipment where you can preview your curated wines and make any changes or additions you’d like before finalizing your order.
Pricing
The cost per allotment varies, based on our curated wines and your custom picks, with an average cost between $200 and $250.
Once you’ve received your first club shipment you will become part of our Kabinett loyalty program, with benefits that include 15% off all bottle purchases, 20% off case purchases, invitations to exclusive events at the winery, access to Kabinett exclusive wines and more! Shipping
Complimentary shipping is included with each allotment, with the option to add up to 6 additional bottles with no extra shipping costs to complete a case.
Someone must be present to sign for your shipment so we recommend shipping to a convenient location where that’s an option or a UPS Access Point.
Spring shipments are sent in early May and Fall shipments are sent in early November.
