Blanc de Blanc

With an emphasis on craftsmanship, Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard produces distinctive sparkling wines in the traditional method. Extended lees contact builds weight and texture on the palate. A focus on early ripeness underpins subtle fruit notes with vibrant structure.

The last 35 cases our 2009 Blanc de Blanc were recently disgorged after spending 113 months aging on the lees (or en tirage). Our sparkling program is dedicated to the process of lees aging, with most of our cuvées receiving a minimum of 30 months. Now, after almost 10 years, the 2009 Blanc de Blanc displays a rich, full body, with a superb mousse and creamy mouthfeel. Notes of lemon curd and brioche balance out the wine and lend a freshness and complexity.
